Good morning boys and girls. Happy Sabbath. Hope you guys had a fantastic Christmas and hope you guys had an even better start of the new year.

So of course it is the children's story. So we'll go ahead and jump straight into our story here looking at our Bible. And today we are going to take a look at Matthew 6 22. We're going to be looking at the Sermon on the Mount. So Matthew 6 22 says the following. The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light.

To illustrate that today, boys and girls, we're gonna be using this. Now, if we open it up, we'll see that we have sunglasses to be specific. So if I go ahead and put these on, I could see. Everything seems a little bit darker, but uh I could still see.

Now, if I were to carry these, If I were to have these glasses on, say, in a pitch black room, or a room that's a little bit darker, I think I'm gonna have a hard time seeing. I might bump into something, I might stub my toe, which won't be no fun. So that's when I need these glasses, the clear glasses. All right, so I'm able to see a little bit better when there's a little light.

And that illustration, boys and girls, is how we should see other people. There's times in our lives where we will be angry, we'll be sad, and we might not view the children of God, the people around us, as children of God. So we may be a little bit more mean. We may say things that we don't mean to say that aren't uplifting people. And so whenever we are feeling upset, make sure we're checking our vision that we're re-centering ourselves with Christ, that we are able to take the glasses or the sunglasses off of anger, selfishness, hurt, and put on the glasses so that we can exemplify Christ and that they may see Christ through us.

All right, boys and girls, thank you for listening. Let's close out with a word of prayer. Dear Heavenly Father, Lord, thank you, God, for another day of life. Thank you for a fantastic beginning to the new year here Lord. Just ask that you be with all the boys and girls here this upcoming year for the rest of their lives Lord, but especially right now at the beginning of this new year. Be with them with whatever may be going on in their life. Be with their parents, be with their loved ones, and may you keep us all safe this upcoming Sabbath and year. We love you and we thank you, all in your name, amen.

All right boys and girls, we'll see you next time.
