Hi Downey friends and family, we are recording from LAX. You might be able to hear them in the intercom. We are on our way to...Hawaii! And we wanted to share a kid's story before we go.
And today's kid's story is about Jonah and the big fish. And this story is important because it reminds us about second chances. So God asks Jonah to go to the people of Nineveh and to preach to them and to tell them to repent, to ask God for their forgiveness. And what does Jonah do?
Jonah goes the opposite way because God was really not happy that Jonah disobeyed. But he gave him a second chance, right? Yeah. Yeah, so then the whale goes and dumps him out of Nineveh and he goes and preaches to the people and the people end up asking God for forgiveness and they also get a second chance because Jonah got a second chance.
And when our friends and our family really bug us and we feel like, oh, these people are terrible, terrible. What should we do? Forgive them and give them more, show them grace like God shows us grace, right? All right. So challenge is on. Please show grace to people in your family, to your friends at school and be like Jesus. Bye.
