Change
Change
by Lilia Hernandez
Good morning boys and girls and happy sabbath. Today I want to talk to you about change. Change is happening everywhere. Let's just take a look at our seasons.
December, January, February, we have the season of winter. Pretty soon, March 20th, we will have a change to spring. Then a change to summer, a change to fall, a change back to winter. Seasons come and go, constantly changing them.
We don't see them here too often because we live in sunny California, but changes are happening. But you know what? One thing I want you to know is God's love never changes. Psalm 136 says, Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. His love endures forever.
Our months change, January, February, March, and so forth, all the way to December. 28 days, 30 days, 31 days, but they're constantly changing. Pretty soon, we'll be in the month of April. Change is happening all the time. But the one thing we know that holds true is that God's love endures forever.
Some of you might remember when you were a baby and mom would hold you and bathe you and take care of you. And then suddenly there was a change. You began to crawl. And then another change. You began to walk. And another change. You started school. Some of you are in elementary, middle, high school. But you know what, boys and girls? Changes happen all the time. And some of you may have even been a little bit naughty and gotten yourself into some kind of trouble, just like David.
David was a boy who always said, "No, it's not my fault. I didn't do it." And one day David changed and he said, "Yes, it was me!" And then he said, "I'm sorry!" This is an amazing change, isn't it boys and girls?
But the one change that we can trust and hold on to, and we know it's true, is that God's love never ends. His love endures forever. In life, God has many, many different animals. There's one animal in particular that I think of, which is the butterfly, because it's an amazing change.
There's a leg, then there's a caterpillar, and then the chrysalis, and then out comes this beautiful butterfly. What an amazing transformation. What an amazing change. And change is good in many ways. But the one change that we know that holds true, that never changes, that we can trust, is the love of God. Because His love endures forever.
So boys and girls, let us not forget the love of God and let us hold on to that promise that his love endures forever. No matter what we do, when we make mistakes, he still loves us. When we do good things, he loves us. His love is always good and endures forever. Let us pray.
Heavenly Father, we thank you, Father God, for your love message, this message about your love that is forever and ever. We just thank you so much, Father. And we ask you to bless the families here, Lord, and help us all, Lord, as we begin this week, Lord. We ask these things in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen. See you next time, boys and girls. Bye.
